The nicer trim, rear a/c, moonroof are all great. But it’s the power lift gate and Bose 10-speaker audio that keeps me driving an extra mile or two on the way home. With the base 2.5 ltr the shift point change in sport mode goes a long way to getting the most out of that mighty 202 hp. Not sure if anything changed throughout the years, but I would actually say the steering feel difference in my 2016 is pretty noticeable…in other words, not subtle.
- Shame on me for not test driving either one before asking but what’s everyone’s thoughts?
- The sports setup looks way better and for that I want to do it…but if it’s too low (like I can’t access my driveway without scratching it it or go over speed bumps) and too stiff I’m going to have problems.
- Also, parking, in general, is so much better especially with how big the accord is.
- I have an ’07 touring hatch and mine seems to be leather wrapped.
- Also, a 10-speaker, 450-watt sound system comes standard along with its own subwoofer.
I just don’t have any information to make this choice. The 2017 Mazda CX-5 keeps the driving acumen that made it stand out in a compact crossover class that’s short on fun-to-drive models. The improvements to some of the sore spots of the old model are exactly what the doctor ordered. It’s quieter, more composed and more stylish to boot. Those who want another engine will have to wait for the enticing 2.2-liter, diesel four-cylinder option that’s scheduled to arrive in the fall.
You get to choose between two powerful engine options that blend power with efficiency. Honda also crafts its cabin to look upscale and maximizes space as much as possible. With many standard driver aids equipped and a dayton iowa rodeo sporty handling performance, it should come as no surprise why Honda keeps this sedan around. The only thing I notice is my automatic transmission shifts much more quickly. In tour it’s lazy about moving to the next gear when accelerating. In sport it shifts like an agressive driver with a manual.

I owned a second generation CTS with the newly introduced 3.6L direct injection engine and it was the first mass production Cadillac that begin to capture the feel of a German sports sedan. I was looking at a BMW 335i when I bought it and the CTS won out because of a roomier back seat more suitable for a child seat . It has been a long and slow transition for Cadillac and after the CTS experience, they were none too anxious to move forward too quickly. I think the driver mode choices are pretty much spot on for the Cadillac market. Other GM vehicles have much bigger changes in characteristics as you switch driving mode and many of them allow customization within driving mode. I normally leave my Z06 in touring mode for the softest setting of the MSRC but have the steering set for sport and the dual mode exhaust is usually in sport mode.
Corsa Sport Vs Touring
If it only had the 16 gallon tank of the ATS it wouldn’t go far between fuel stops. If I pay close attention, I can notice slightly tighter and heavier steering, and what seems to be crisper shifts at higher RPMs. However, the effect in our car is very mild and we mostly don’t bother with it.
Honda Accord Trim Levels, Configurations & Comparisons
Remember we’re talking about the 2007 not 06 or earlier! The ONLY difference i saw in the official brochure was the 6 speaker system with tweeters and some OPTIONAL equipment that can be added, not standard. All versions have the same airbags, all have 17inch wheels. I’m talking standard here. The 06 Sport had smaller wheels and some other little things.
The adaptive cruise control in particular made big strides in the redesign thanks to an added forward camera . The additional camera allows the system to work all the way down to a stop, where it will hold and then take off again if the car in front of you moves after less than three seconds. If it’s stopped for longer than that, you have to tap the gas pedal or press the resume button on the steering wheel to continue moving forward. Moving up the Mazda CX-9 trim lineup, the Grand Touring grade has a starting price of $40,840 MSRP /$42,640 MSRP .

Intervention of the “safety nannies” is also greatly reduced as you go up in mode with GM’s performance vehicles and that isn’t something that is a great idea for their more normal vehicles. Outside of the V series I think Cadillac doesn’t want major changes between the modes so all modes retain the “Cadillac driving/ride feel”. I leave my Z06 steering set to sport which is a little heavier than the ATS sport mode but not as heavy as track and the exhaust stays set to track mode which leaves the straight through route open most of the time.
